The 1952 Detroit Lions season resulted in the Lions winning their second NFL Championship. The Lions had finished the 1952 season tied with the Los Angeles Rams for the NFL's National Conference title with a record of 9–3. The Lions then defeated the Rams 31–21 in a playoff game in Detroit on December 21 to go to the NFL title game. The Lions, in their first appearance in the title game since 1935, were led by quarterback Bobby Layne and running back Doak Walker in the title game, played at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, where the Lions beat the Otto Graham led Cleveland Browns, 17–7. ==Regular season==
